History of Digital Audio Players

CD players or portable audio devices are the older versions of these modern digital audio players.

There were many ancestral versions of these DAPs. One was created by Kane Kramer and it was called IXI. The sample model was first made in 1979. It played audio files for 3.5 minutes, but it was not commercialized. In 1988, Kramer was employed by Apple Inc. and made his prototype as the model of later styles of digital audio players.
